Anna Louise Howell's Obituary
Anna Louise Van Horn Howell passed away on Sunday, September 1, 2013. She was born in Bloomfield, Iowa in 1924 to Earl Van Horn and Alice Audrey Kinnamon Van Horn. She married her devoted husband in Denver, Colorado where they lived for 20 years before moving to New Orleans in 1967.  There she was active in fund raising for the New Orleans Symphony, assisting in their Encore Shop for many years. She resided in Covington, Louisiana for 37 years where she was a member of the Tchefuncte Garden Club, Sewing Club and Honey Bees, giving back to the community through their charitable activities.
The beloved wife of the late James G. Howell, she is survived by two daughters, Patricia H. Hundley of Denver, CO and Deborah H. Caldwell of Mandeville, LA; 13 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and her daughter, Constance D. Morris of Missoula, MT, as a result of Multiple Sclerosis.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the memorial services at 1:30 PM on Saturday, September 7, 2013 at E.J. Fielding Funeral Home, 2260 W. 21st Ave., Covington, LA 70433.
A time of visitation will begin Saturday at 12:30 PM.
Interment at Pinecrest Memorial Gardens in Covington will immediately follow services.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Multiple Sclerosis Society, 4613 Fairfield St., Metairie, LA 70006.
