Ann Meade Nalty's Obituary
Ann Meade Nalty died on Thursday, December 29, 2005 at her home in Bush, Louisiana. Ann, an avid painter, was a member of the National Acrylic Painters Association. She also was a pioneer in special education. After graduating from Belhaven College, she taught and tutored children in special education in Jackson Mississippi. She continued her work by teaching adult literacy in Covington, Louisiana. Mrs. Nalty is preceded in death by her husband Raymond Joseph Nalty, Jr. She is survived by one sister, Tedie Hodges Cahill of Talisheek, Louisiana, one son, Raymond Joseph Nalty III and his wife Jane; three grandsons Raymond Joseph Nalty IV, Benjamin Yandell Nalty and Wilson McBride Nalty all of Jackson, Mississippi. Also survived by two nieces and three nephews. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Memorial Mass on Monday, January 2, 2006 at 1:30 PM at St. Joseph Abbey 75376 River Road, Covington, Louisiana 70433. Interment in Lakewood Memorial Park in Jackson, Mississippi on Tuesday, January 3, 2006 at 11:00 AM. Visitation on Monday at the Abby from 12:30 PM until service time. E. J. Fielding Funeral Home, Inc., Covington, Louisiana in charge of arrangements.
