Ann Hamilton Earhart's Obituary
Ann Hamilton Earhart, age 72, died at home on November 13th, 2018.
She was born in Gastonia, NC to Horace Emerson Hamilton and Harvison Smith Hamilton.
Ann, the “fun one,” is survived by her children, Frederick Adam Earhart Jr., and Gretchen Earhart Fischer (Andrew); and siblings – not the “fun ones” – Richard Gwyn Hamilton (Nadene), Elise “Weese” Hamilton Petersen, and Jane Hamilton Voorhies. She was an active grandmother to Claire, Katie, and Ava, and will be remembered for her quick wit, perfect comedic timing, and fun-loving nature by other members of her fan club and extended family.
The esteemed Captain of the Northshore Ladies’ Sip and Dip Swim Team, Ann is best remembered for hunting down the best shoes in her size in every color, cooking a delicious bowl of grits and grillades, and expertly miming twirling a flaming baton to the LSU pregame.
She loved the beach, Sonic, scotch, Jeopardy, vehemently insisting she was not the one who drew on the walls of her childhood home in 1956, and spending time with her family.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Fred Earhart.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend memorial services at 11am on Friday, November 23, 2018 at the Christ Episcopal Church Chapel, 120 S. New Hampshire St. Covington, LA 70433. Visitation at the church Parish Hall on Friday will begin at 10am.
