Anita Pradillo Stafford's Obituary
Anita Pradillo Stafford of Covington, Louisiana, passed away peacefully in her home on October 31, 2022, after a brief illness.
Anita was born on December 3, 1921, to August E. and Anita deBen Pradillo in New Orleans, Louisiana. Anita was graduated from Sophie B. Wright School in 1938.
Anita wed Peter J. Stafford, Sr. on April 11, 1940. Anita and Peter went on to have two children; four grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; and one great great grandchild.
Anita was predeceased by her husband Peter J. Stafford, Sr.; her son Peter J. Stafford, Jr.; her granddaughter Thaïs Stafford King; her brothers August E. Pradillo, Jr. and Earl L. Pradillo; and her sister Helen Pradillo Posey. She is survived by her daughter Anita Pamela Stafford; her daughter-in-law Emily M. Stafford; her grandchildren Lacey King Blackwell, Elizabeth Stafford Baldwin, and Peter J. Stafford, III; her seven great grandchildren; and her great great grandchild; and will be missed by her many loving friends.
Anita was an avid and accomplished golfer and a gourmet cook. She and Peter were long-time members of the Covington Country Club.
Services will be held for family and close friends at E. J. Fielding Funeral Home, 2260 W 21st Ave, Covington, LA 70433 on Tuesday, November 8, 2022, at 11:00 am in the funeral home chapel and the visitation will begin at 10:00am. Entombment will follow in Lakelawn Park Mausoleum at 1:00pm.
