This is a part of one of my last conversations with Anita and pretty much describes who she was and what she meant to me:
"I received your CD and was just listening to it. Tears flowing down my cheeks. You have been a friend to me ever since I first moved to Mandeville. You have seen me go through some difficult times in my life and have always just showed love and acceptance. As I lay there listening to your beautiful music I felt like I was being enveloped in a cocoon of love and realized that I never want that feeling to end. I also realized that this is what home must feel like, our real, Heavenly home. You have done such a beautiful job at sharing the love of and from our Savior through your music. Not everybody has that gift and I thank you so much that you share it so freely, and that you shared it with me. You are a treasure from Heaven! I have a nice home, filled with nice things, but I don't think there is anything that I treasure more than your CD. It is a piece of you, your love and your faith, and your friendship, that will always be there. And when I play it, it is a conduit for the spirit to fill my heart and my home. Thank you for being you, for being my friend throughout the years, for sharing your gift of music and your faith. I admire your spunk and courage and never wavering faith. I am blessed for knowing you and I cherish that. I love you and your family! Thank you, Anita, "
