Amund Oddvar Djuve's Obituary
Amund Oddvar Djuve age 59, Belle Chasse, Louisiana, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, August 16, 2021. He was born on December 1, 1961 in Sauda, Norway to Amund Djuve and Evelyn Viola Gitz Djuve.
He is survived by his loving siblings Cecilie Djuve Turner (Jim), Kirsten Djuve, Astrid Djuve Koppenol (Jerry) and Olav Djuve (Bobbie Jo), his loving nieces and nephews, Rudy, Ragnhild, Tiffani, James, Sigrid, William, Brita, Kari, Courtney, Lars, Kelsey, Amund “AO” (godson), a host of great-nieces and great-nephews, stepdaughters Maggie and Christy, and step-grandchildren Olivia, Hallie and Vincent, and many great lifelong friends.
Amund is preceded in death by his wife Linda Cavalier Hartman Djuve, parents Evelyn and Amund, and niece Lindsey.
A native of Marrero and resident of Belle Chasse for many years, Amund was a Heavy Crane Operator for many years.
Amund was a man of many talents, but his passion was for motorcycles and loved riding his Harley. He also enjoyed spending time working on his truck, target shooting, fishing, and could fix just about anything. Most of all Amund was a warm, kind, caring, and loving person who will be missed deeply by all that knew him.
Due to COVID-19, social distancing is encouraged and masks are required to attend services.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral services at E.J. Fielding Funeral Home, 2260 W 21st Ave, Covington, Louisiana 70433 on Saturday, August 28, 2021, 3:00 PM with visitation beginning at 1:00 PM until service time. Interment will follow the services in Theodore Dendinger Cemetery, Dendinger M and Hwy. 21, Madisonville, Louisiana.
