Dear Reyne, Artie & Jude, Darrell and I are very saddened by your loss. Although we never met Amelia, we felt the loss of someone very special through both Andree and Rhett. The way they spoke of Amelia and your family's faith and courage in the face of adversity touched us and renewed our own faith. Words can not express my sadness in the loss of your daughter, sister, friend, my cousin. We are thinking of y'all in the days, months, and beyond today as you move on... I'm thankful that I had the chance to reconnect with my Abadie side of the family -- sometimes we don't understand why things happen the way they do... but, I do know now why my employee just happened to sit with Artie at a conference in Washington DC last August and brought his business card back to Vermont so I could contact a cousin.... it was to be able to reconnect and at least have some contact with Amelia and ya'll these last few months. I am grateful for that.

Reyne & Family, although I did not have the pleasure of knowing your precious daughter, I feel like I did because of all the great conversations you and I had in cardmaking class when it was only you and I. Amelia's funeral was beautiful, filled with faith. We are truly sadden by her passing and will miss her greatly. We will never know the happiness she is feeling right now until we hopefully join her in heaven. I would like to share this story that was told to me.
There are many children in heaven. Once a week Jesus takes them on a beautiful, peaceful walk with him. He gives each a candle which enables them to see all the beauty. Every week this one child stays behind. After a few weeks one of her friends try to beg her to come with them. Jesus is listening. No, I can't. Jesus says, sure you can everyone can. No, you see everytime I try to light my candle my mother's tears put it out.
Cry no more for me. let me walk with Jesus.
