After the children were grown, she returned to the workforce, working for many years at K-mart until her first grandchildren were born. She later worked as an administrative assistant at Three Rivers and Greenbriar Psychiatric Hospitals in Covington until her retirement.
Her hobbies included reading, genealogy, and cooking, but her life ultimately revolved around her family. She loved spending time with them and making memories together. She loved them, and they loved her. She will be dearly missed.
