Alvin Sharp's Obituary
Alvin Sharp passed away on Sunday, May 22, 2022 at his home in Covington, LA. He was born on October 22, 1940 to Bankston and Lucinda Jarrell Sharp.
He is preceded in death by his parents; wife Joan Coyne Sharp; daughter, Pam Sharp; grandson, Corey Hall; sister, Della Mae McLain George; and brothers, Maurice Sharp and August Sharp. He is survived by his daughters, Debbie Murphy (Dan) and Sandy Hall (David); his son, Glenn Sharp; 7 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; and 13 great-great grandchildren.
Alvin worked many years as a carpenter and later as a fisherman. He enjoyed cooking for family and friends and was a master with his meat smoker, always willing to help others. He will be forever in our hearts and missed every day.
Family and friends are invited to attend the funeral service at E. J. Fielding Funeral Home, 2260 W. 21st Avenue, Covington, La on Thursday, May 26, 2022 at 2:00 PM with visitation beginning at 12:00 PM. Interment will follow the service in the Bruhl Cemetery in Folsom, LA.
