Althea Bradely Fitte's Obituary
Althea Bradley Fitte passed away in Covington, LA on August 27, 2015 at the age of 89, 11 days before her 90th birthday. Althea was born in New Orleans on September 7, 1925 (on Labor Day) to Madeline Oelking and Richard Lee Bradley. She is survived by her brother - Ernest Bradley of Houston, TX and is preceded in death by her brother Richard Bradley.
The beloved wife of the late Leo Roy Fitte for 64 years, she was the loving mother of Bradley Paul Fitte (Ellen), Janet Patton (Terry), and Patti Varuso (Randy) and is survived by seven grandchildren - Angela Becnel (Peter), Paul Fitte (Farrah), Anne Fitte Nogueira (Juan), Randilynn Gioe (Joey), Andrea Corne (Scott), Rachael Catalanotto (John), and Lauren Almquist (Chad); 14 great grandchildren - Harry Becnel IV, Amelie Becnel, Beau Fitte, Will Fitte, Jack Fitte, Reagan Gioe, Joey Gioe, Gavin Corne, Garrett Corne, Caleb Catalanotto, Stella Almquist, Juan Carlos Nogueira III, and Josephine Almquist.
A native of New Orleans, she and Leo were 55 year residents of Chalmette, LA until Katrina and have enjoyed the last 10 years in Covington, LA.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral service at 11:00 AM on Monday, August 31, 2015 at EJ Fielding Funeral Home, 2260 W. 21st Ave. Covington, LA 70433.
Visiting hours at the funeral home on Monday will begin at 9:00 AM.
Interment at St. Vincent de Paul Cemetery in New Orleans will take place privately and at a later date.
