Alpha Anthony Galloway's Obituary
Alpha Anthony Galloway, age 86, of Covington, Louisiana, passed away peacefully with her daughter by her side on Thursday, May 15, 2025. She was born on December 18, 1938, in Folsom, Louisiana.
She is survived by her children, Rhonda G. Nelson and William R. Galloway; grandchildren, Tina Nelson and David Nelson; great-granddaughter, Alyssa Marie Mooney Trahan (Clay); brother, Leroy Anthony (Jane); sisters-in-law, Kathy Anthony and Geraldine Crowe (Waylon); and many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde Galloway; parents, William Anthony and Mozelar Pierre Anthony; and siblings, Virdelia Anthony Vidrine (LeRay), Lee Anthony, and Mildred Anthony Mansfield (Russell); daughter-in-law, Beverly Galloway; and many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.
Alpha enjoyed working in her yard and had a passion for flowers.
The family wishes to express their gratitude to Northlake Gastroenterology Associates, Jessica at Elara Home Health, and Sarah at Compassus Hospice for their compassionate understanding and guidance throughout the last days and years of Mrs. Galloway’s life.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Graveside Service on Saturday, May 31, 2025, at 11:00 AM at Fussell Cemetery on Fussell Cemetery Road off Highway 437 in the “Middle Road” Community of Covington.
