Allie J. Picou's Obituary
Allie “Al” John Picou, Jr., passed away on Tuesday, February 19, 2008.
Beloved husband of Beverly Schneider Hightower Picou; father of Steve Picou, DDS and his wife Deborah; step-father to William James Hightower and his wife Kathy, Louis James Hightower and George James Hightower and his wife Natalie; grandfather to Melanie Picou and Stephanie Picou, DDS; brother of Angelle Trahan and her husband Morris, Theresa Calamari, Irma Lee Warner and her husband Pascal and Edward Picou, Sr. and his wife Dianne; he is also survived by 8 step-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Audrey Shows Picou; his mother, Edna Delattes Picou; his father, Allie John Picou, Sr.; and a brother, Charles Picou, Sr.
Age 83 years, a native New Orleans, LA, he was a resident of Mandeville, LA for the past 22 years. A United States Navy veteran, he served in World War II during the Normandy invasion. He was a retired clerk with the United Postal Service. He was a Covington Food Bank sponsor, a member of the Knights of Columbus, Council #9240 and a member of Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Mass on Friday, February 22, 2008 at 11:00 AM at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church, 312 Lafitte Street, Mandeville, LA 70448.
Visitation on Friday AT THE CHURCH will begin at 9:30 AM. Interment will follow Mass in the Mandeville Mausoleum.
