Allen Ray Guiberteau Sr.'s Obituary
Allen Ray Guiberteau, Sr. went home to be with the Lord on December 13, 2023. He died peacefully in his longtime home in Mandeville, LA. After growing up in Jeanerette LA, Allen served in the US Navy, then went on to receive a degree in Petroleum Engineering from Louisiana State University. His education led him to work for Amoco, where he remained until retirement.
Allen is survived by his son Michael Guiberteau, daughter-in-law Karen Guiberteau (Ray), grandchildren Jennifer Ratcliffe (Bob), Troy Guiberteau, Trent Guiberteau, and Emily Duplantis (Justin), and great grandchildren Jackson, Joey, and Theo.
Allen is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Lou Jean Chester Guiberteau, son Allen “Ray” Guiberteau, Jr, and grandson Allen Ray “Trey” Guiberteau, III.
Throughout his blessed years, Allen enjoyed serving as Deacon for the First Baptist Church of Covington and many trips camping, fishing, and seeing the world with his loving wife, Jean. He will be remembered and missed by all who knew him.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral service at E. J. Fielding Funeral Home, 2260 W 21st Avenue, Covington, LA 70433 on Friday, December 22, 2023 at 12:00 PM with visitation beginning at 10:00 AM until service time. Interment will take place following the service at Pinecrest Memorial Gardens, 2280 W 21st Avenue, Covington, LA.
