Alida Warner Diedrich's Obituary
Alida Warner Diedrich died on Tuesday, May 11, 2010 at St. James Place in Baton Rouge. She was born January 14, 1922 in New Orleans to the late Jeanne Anna Piquet and J. Harry Warner, Jr. and was a resident of Baton Rouge for the past 35 years.
The beloved wife of the late E.F. “Dee” Diedrich for over 62 years, she is the sister of Harry A. Warner husband of/and June Gilreath Warner, Jean Warner Schoen wife of/and Gary T. Schoen, J.P. Warner husband of/and Valerie Smith Warner, all of Covington, and the late Shirley Warner Schoen wife of/and the late Cyprian J. “Cyp” Schoen, and the late Dorothy Ann Warner. Many nieces and nephews loved and cared for her; particularly Mark W. Schoen and his family of Baton Rouge; others include Jeffrey D. Schoen, Gary T. Schoen, Jr. and Glenn P. Warner, all of Covington, Preston W. Schoen of Mandeville, Stephen W. Schoen of Denver, CO and Ann Courtney Warner of Hammond; George H. Diedrich, III, Diane D. Badeaux, Glenn J. Diedrich, Elizabeth D. Gros all of Thibodeaux, LA and Robert J. Diedrich of Baton Rouge. “Lee-Lee”, as she was affectionately known, will be sadly missed by Mark’s three boys: Brad, Hunter and Drew Schoen, who loved her as their grandmother.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend a memorial services on Thursday, May 13, 2010 at 11:00 AM from E.J. Fielding Funeral Home, 2260 W. 21st Ave., Covington, LA 70433.
Visitation will begin Thursday at 10:00 AM.
Interment at Pinecrest Memorial Gardens will immediately follow services.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the St. Tammany Parish Hospital Foundation, 1202 S. Tyler St. Covington, LA 70433.
