Alfred Larry Pittman's Obituary
Alfred Larry Pittman passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 23, 2022 at the age of 71. He was born on August 27, 1950 in Franklinton, LA to Alfred Shelby Pittman and Veva “Pete” Sharp Pittman.
Larry is survived by his wife of 51 years, Ellen Chassee Pittman; daughter, Margaret Pittman of Fort Worth, TX; son, Adam Pittman, daughter-in-law, Cathleen Pittman, and granddaughters, Claire and Chloe of Katy, TX; and his brother, Gary Pittman of Loranger, LA. Larry was preceded in death by his parents.
Larry graduated from Covington High School in 1968 and Southeastern Louisiana University in 1972. He worked for Shell Oil Company for 32 years and then as a consultant for Occidental Petroleum in Oman.
Larry was a hunter and fisherman his whole life. He loved the woods and the mountains. He carved duck decoys and made a hobby of photography. He was involved with all his children’s activities - band booster, coach for youth baseball and softball, Cub Scout Den leader and more.
Larry was loyal and true to his wife, Ellen, a loving father, an honest and hard-working oilman, and a generous friend and neighbor.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral services at E.J. Fielding Funeral Home, 2260 West 21st Avenue, Covington, LA 70433 on Thursday, January 27, 2022 at 3:00 PM with visitation beginning at 1:00 PM until service time. Interment will be private.
