Alberta Staten Laurant passed away on Thursday, June 2, 2016 at the age of 101.
Beloved wife of the late Arthur Laurant. Loving mother of Rose Matile Laurant. Beloved daughter of the late Arie Bickham Staten and James Staten. Sister of the late Sis Leana Armstrong, Sis Minnie Lee Jackson, Bro. Ellis Staten and baby girl Vivian Staten. Children raised by Alberta Laurant: Arthur Ray, Gary Ray, Charles Jackson, Martha Ray, Alvin Ray, Paulette Duncan, Pam Duncan, Roger Duncan, Edmin Duncan, Edwina Duncan, Mark Duncan, Geraldine Singleton, Melissa Singleton, Adrian Singleton, Terrance Singleton, Angelic Singleton, Isaiah Singleton, and Travon Singleton.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral services at, Newell UMC, 129 Lamarque St., Mandeville, LA 70448 on Friday, June 10, 2016 at 10:00 AM with visitation at church on Friday beginning at 8:00 AM.
Interment will follow in Mandeville City Cemetery.
