Albert Louis Smith Sr's Obituary
Albert Louis “Al” Smith, Sr. passed away on August 5, 2018 surrounded by family at his home in Bush, LA. He was born on December 29, 1931 in New Orleans, LA to the late Charles G. Smith and Adele Brossette Smith.
Al was married to his beloved wife, Mary Ann Lee Smith, for 65 years. He was the loving father of Albert L. Smith, Jr. (Gail), Larry D. Smith (Holly), and Richard J. “Ricky” Smith. Al was the proud grandfather of Brad Smith (Jaime), Amy S. McKinney (Madi), Melissa Smith, Stephanie Smith, Katie Smith, Mandy Corum, and Robert Corum; great-grandfather of Alexis Smith, Caroline Smith, Blakely Smith, Clayton Smith, Aubrey Ann Smith, Chase Corum Roberts, and Elijah Wayne Corum. He was the brother of Linda S. Wetzel, the late Dorothy S. Asher, Charles G. Smith, Jr., and Elaine S. Becker.
Relatives and friends are invited to the Funeral Service at Fitzgerald United Methodist
Church, 80007 Fitzgerald Church Road, Covington, LA on Friday, August 10, 2018 at 11:00 AM. A WAKE will be held on Thursday, August 9, 2018 at E.J. Fielding Funeral Home, 2260 W. 21st Avenue, Covington, LA 70433 from 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM. Visitation on Friday will be AT CHURCH from 9:00 AM until service time. Interment will follow the service at JM Fussell Cemetery, Covington, LA.
