Our prayers are with Carol and Al's children [now adults].

A Tulane classmate just shared the news of Al's death. We attended Tulane University and Al was one year ahead of me. We worked together at the Fortier Plant for many years . For some of these years Al was my boss and always a friend. I believe with some assurance Al started work there in 1962. In 1965 when I started working at Fortier, Al was willing to provide advice and guidance to me which I appreciated. Al was a truly excellent process engineer. After Katrina we lost contact with Al and was not able to re-establish communication much to our disappointment.

My father loved to watch the original Star Trek. He also loved to take us to Mardi gras parades as a kid. Sometimes he would take us to multiple parades. One of his favorite foods was a after dinner bowl of ice cream. He was very quiet and listened mostly not a big talker. Some of our last conversations were observations about life. He rarely showed emotions but we knew he loved us.
