I spent less time with Albert than I would have liked, but they are fond memories indeed, not least those memories during my first ever visit to Louisiana. On our first night in town, a selection of the family went to his favorite restaurant, Sal and Judy's. Al looked about ready to burst--almost like a small child. I observed how happy he looked, and he had an answer ready, "I'm going to Sal and Judy's with my kids!" Nothing more needed to be said.
Al was one of the most loving, giving, faithful people I’ve ever known. We are so blessed to have known him. He definitely had a love of life, God & family with an amazingly contagious laugh! He will be missed.
OH ! the precious memories we had as kids, selling watermelons at Lincoln beach in New Orleans, then knocking on doors selling eggs, and setting up crawfish stands on the main corners of the K&B drug stores. We set up by the drug stores because we would get the empty boxes from behind the drug store to put the crawfish in, yes, they were live and only .15 to .20 cents a lb. Uncle Albert, [ Albert Jr dad ] was a born Entrepeneur.
So glad that God let me be apart of your family. Love and prayers to you all.❤️
