Albert Lee Herron's Obituary
Albert Lee Herron, 86 of Mandeville, LA died on Monday, October 12, 2015, at Lakeview Regional Medical Center in Covington, LA. Born, Saturday, February 09, 1929 in Metairie, LA to Arthur Lee Herron and Catherine Herron.
Survived by his Daughters - Carol Marie Herron, Mell Rose Fowler (Richard) of Washington, Sheila Herron Boe (Richard), and Major Jennifer F. Herron, U.S.A.F., and Grandson - Wesley Boe.
He was predeceased by his Wife - Dolores C. Messmer Herron, Parents, Brother - Henry Earl Herron, and Grandson - Randall Boe.
Albert was a Navy Veteran having served 22 years as a Meteorologist. He was one of the founding members of the Knights of Columbus Council 9240 at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church in Mandeville and their first Grand Knight. He was also a founding member of the Deacon James Seghers Assembly 2467 and their first Faithful Navigator. In past years Albert was a volunteer for several community organizations including the Samaritan Center. He was a Police Reservist in Mandeville for 8 years. He was also a member of the V.F.W. Post 8720, Fleet Reserve Association, Retired Enlisted Association, and National Association of Uniformed Service.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass at 12:00 PM on Thursday, October 15, 2015 at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church, 312 Lafitte Street Mandeville, LA 70448. Visitation on Thursday, October 15, 2015 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church.
Interment in Mandeville Cemetery, Mandeville, LA.
