Albert DeBlonde's Obituary
Albert Sidney DeBlonde passed away on Saturday, April 4, 2015 in Mandeville, LA. He was born on Monday, May 4, 1925 in New Orleans, LA to the late Albert DeBlonde and Albertine Becker DeBlonde.
Albert was the loving father of Charmaine Morgan and Allison DeBlonde. He was the beloved grandfather of Amber Wenzel and Bridget Wenzel. He was the father-in-law of Archie Morgan. Albert was the brother of the late Henri DeBlonde. He is survived by a host of nieces, nephews, and friends. He is also survived by long-time family friend, Fred Eastman.
Albert served in the U.S. Army during World War II in the European-African-Middle Eastern Campaign. He was the recipient of a Bronze Star, the Purple Heart, and other medals for his service to our country. After the War, Albert returned to New Orleans. He retired as Post Master of Kenner, LA.
Private Graveside services will be held at the Southeast Louisiana Veterans Cemetery, Slidell, LA. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in memory of Albert DeBlonde to the Alzheimer's Association, www.alz.org, (800) 272-3900.
