I just heard about Alan Thomson's passing from Mike Forrest via the Shell Alumni Network. Alan was my mentor at Shell in New Orleans from 1977 to 1982. We worked on several projects together, and I considered him to be a valuable technical resource and an honest coach and evaluator. My condolences to his family. My deepest sympathies on your loss. I was lucky enough to get to know Alan and work with him in Mandeville. He was so charming and delightful. I am also lucky enough to have one of his ink drawings - he painted my parents house for me. He was certainly one of the good ones and will be missed.

It was 16 years ago to the day I lost my father, how ironic. My blessings, thoughts & prayers are with you. I love your picture of Alan sailing. If all goes according I will see you Saturday. My dad is always with me & I hope you know your dad is too. I loved Alan & I want you to know it.
Our love and thoughts are with you'll. We were very fortunate to live as neighbors of your mom and dad for so many years and always remembered each other with Christmas cards. Your mom and dad both will always be part of our happy memories.
