I just heard about Alan Thomson's passing from Mike Forrest via the Shell Alumni Network. Alan was my mentor at Shell in New Orleans from 1977 to 1982. We worked on several projects together, and I considered him to be a valuable technical resource and an honest coach and evaluator. My condolences to his family. My deepest sympathies on your loss. I was lucky enough to get to know Alan and work with him in Mandeville. He was so charming and delightful. I am also lucky enough to have one of his ink drawings - he painted my parents house for me. He was certainly one of the good ones and will be missed.
