I knew Mr. Seligman through my business dealings with Southern Shipbuilding. It was always a pleasure to work with Mr. Seligman and the conversation over our many business lunches was always fascinating. He had an interesting life to say the least. Although I haven’t seen Mr. Seligman in over 15 years, I often think of him and Southern Shipbuilding whenever I pass through Slidell. I was saddened to hear the news of his passing and wish to offer my heartfelt condolences to Claudia and the Seligman family.
We have very fond memories of our times with Alain. He was a good friend. great host. and we enjoyed being with him.
I had the pleasure of knowing Alain since the early sixties. I was first employed by Southern Shipbuilding in 1962. It was a little later that I actually had a chance to work in close contact with him. During which time I learned that Alain was a fair man who cared about his employees.
Alain was knowledgeable in local, national and international business and brought many new ideas to the marine industry. Alain will be missed.
We will miss seeing Mr. Seligman and our deepest symapthy goes out to Claudia & the family. I will smile every time I think of Mr. Seligman's t-shirt that says "Does this shirt make me look 85?". Our thoughts & prayers are with the family during this difficult time. God Bless. Love, Southern Pain Center Staff
