Abdon "Abe" Franco Roman's Obituary
Abdon “Abe” Franco Roman, 39, a native of Corpus Christi, TX, was a resident of Mandeville, LA. Abe went to join Our Lord on Sunday, February 12, 2012. For the last 14 years, he has served Entergy Utility Company in a variety of roles, the most recent being Director of Customer Service.
Abe graduated from Moody High School in 1991 and continued on to college as an Electrical Engineer student at Texas A&M. After earning his degree, he went on to work for Texas Utilities in Waco, TX. While in Waco, he welcomed the birth of his first son, Nicholas Alexander. Abe later moved to Baton Rouge, accepting a position with Entergy in 1998, when he welcomed the birth of his first daughter, Hunter Diane. While in Baton Rouge, he obtained a Masters of Business from LSU. Abe was a Sunday school teacher at St. Thomas Moore Catholic Church in Baton Rouge. Before leaving Baton Rouge, he became an avid motorcyclist. He always talked about the amazing opportunity he had to ride to Daytona with his close friend. In 2004 he moved to Beaumont, TX and celebrated the birth of his second son, Christopher Thomas. During his time in Beaumont, he was a member of St. Jude Catholic Church, and was able to enjoy fishing, hunting, motorcycle riding and cooking. In 2008, Abe celebrated the birth of his second daughter, Katherine Isabella. And in July 0f 2011 he and his family moved back to Louisiana.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend Memorial Services at E.J. Fielding Funeral Home Inc., 2260 W. 21st. Ave., Covington, LA 70433 on Saturday, March 3, 2012 at 3:00 PM.
