I am sorry to hear about the Katie's passing. She helped me a lot during nursing school and made me feel a part of the family. I will miss her.
To Miss Katie's Family,
Iwas a student of Miss Katie at Southeastern from 1960 to 1964 as a P.E. major and was sorry to hear of her passing. I got into P.E. because of the dance courses since they did not have a dance major at that time. She was a great teacher and taught me a lot.I took dancing since I was 3 years old and even after I start teaching until I got married. I was always in my kids Variety shows at their schools and since I retired I am in a Line Dancing class with Silver Sneakers at the Elmwood Fitness Center that at times perform for Sr. centers holiday parties and nursing homes. Our group went to the Sr. Olympics for dance last Dec. and won 3rd place.I taught P.E. for 27 years and retired 7 years ago. Thanks to great teachers like Miss Katie, Ms. Bales and Ms. Anderson Ihad a great teaching career.A great lady will be sadly missed. My prayers are with you and your family.
Sincerely,
Jeanette Daigle Le Blanc
You're in my thoughts.
Ya'll are in our intentions... peace
I just wanted to drop a line to the Friedrichs family to let them know how important your mother was to me and to whom I have begun. Miss Katie was a very important part of my formative years, and over the past decade of my life I have come to understand just how much an influence she had on my life. Though I haven't seen her for many years, I have thought of her often and extend my sympathy to you for your great loss.
Oh, Miss Katie... I am sure you are dancing now with Andy and with your Lord who gave you the talent you used so well as a dancer and as a teacher...You brought dance into the world and made us glad. You are grace and we were graced to have know you, laughed with you, leaned from you...and you never missed a step. I was so glad to have found Kit on line and to have brought a smile to your face in your final days...and I can't wait to see you again when my time is o'er and I join you at the Lord's banquet...I have such wonderful memories of five decades of friendship! Drew, Pierre, Marie and Kit...my prayers are with you, knowing that God will take away the pain one day but never the joyfilled memories you have of your Mom. PAX Fred
My sincere condolences for Miss Katie's family. She was my dance instructor at SLU back in the late 60's. She was a wonderful person and I will always remember her fondly.
