Roger was the most kind hearted, laidback, humble, down to earth, optimistic man I’ve ever met… Through all of Roger hard times he’s managed to keep a smile on his face. I’m roger and Jo’s adopted daughter. Jo took me under her wing when I was 12 years old and took me home with her, Roger opened his home up to me as if he knew me and my family. Roger was always down to help me and support me in anything I was doing. At my young age I was on the outside looking in but Roger is the imaginary husband I want. Jo was so lucky to be Roger wife for all them years. Not many get lucky to have a genuine husband. I love Roger and Jo with all in me. It broke my heart seeing Roger transformation. Husband and wife is a reflection of one another… I admire and adore their relationship and how Jo stayed strong for Roger. Their love for God. Their faith and belief. I love you but God loves you more!
My dearest Jo, Lisa and Celeste,
Roger dodger was the kindest, most generous and soft-spoken person ever. He was a great chef and quite humorous with his witty quip. I will miss the days of Margarita Tuesdays and talking across the street from our front porches. Heaven has now gained a great asset.
Jo, I remember the day I met you and Roger out walking Daisy just after moving into the house just across the street in 2001. Little did I know at the time the two of you would become my family. My heart is broken for you, and even with preparedness it is hard to accept he is not with you in body. He will always be in your heart and watching over you until you meet him in heaven one day.

We only met Roger once at our daughter’s wedding in England. He was the loviest person you could wish to meet. You could see the love you both had for each other.
You would often tell me what Roger was up to like watching sport and your trips to see the families in Texas and Louisiana.
You both supported each other in each of your own ventures which showed the love between you.
Our thoughts are with you on this day.

Dear Jo, Celeste, Lisa and family members,
Roger was one of the best! He was always smiling and such a laid back guy. They say the quiet ones are the smart ones. That was Roger. He was just the sweetest most caring person. He knew just about everything! There was never anything that he didn't have an answer too. The right answer of course! And oh how he loved Johannah and his daughters!
The love he and Jo had was the kind most of us dream of! Well myself... I know he will be dearly missed. I know his dog Lula will be missing him as well. Rest in Peace Roger. You were truly one of a kind.
Dear Jo and all who loved Roger -
I had the great fortune of “hamming and egging” with Rog for many years on the job at AutoIMS. No one got more accolades or appreciation from our clients than Roger, and those who worked for or with him appreciated his laid back but ever-so-capable approach.
As one of many many who are saddened by his transition from earthly form, I’m heartened to believe that his spirit lives on through all that knew him and in the shared spirit in which we dwell.
“And another thing…” (one of his favorites as he would critically dissect a business issue, seeing several moves down the chess board, and reminding those of us in a rush that good work often takes a minute.

Roger was the most laid back man I have ever met. In all the years that I have known Roger and Johanna, I never heard him raise his voice, and he always had a smile on his face. I can hear that “Welllll…” now. I was thinking of memories of him today, and one in particular makes me laugh out loud. My husband and I went to Helen, Ga with he and Jo, and we rented a cabin together. When we went to bed after a fun night playing games and laughing, Roger was warm so at some point overnight he turned the air conditioning down. My husband and I woke up freezing, and we thought a cold front had come through. We put jackets on and went outside to the front porch, and there’s Roger in shorts and a t-shirt and it’s 75 degrees. He had turned the air down to like 45 degrees!
He will be greatly missed. I’ve never met a man who loved his wife as much as he loves Jo. Our deepest condolences and prayers go out to the family.
