Thanks for all the great memories. I will always remember being picked up after school as a little one and the two of us grabbing a bite to eat before heading home. The times I suckered you into going to see cheesy movies with me in the theater and when you got me back. “What about Bob” comes to mind for the latter. What I will remember most are all the memories when I was lucky enough to live across the street from you. The holidays were always the best when they were at your house. Summertime was the coolest since I could play in your pool most of the day and raid your freezer full of ice cream. I also loved it when you watched me when my folks were gone because we would stay up late and watch old movies with together. I think most of all I will miss how you would belt out a big laugh when I would do or say something funny.

Gramsey, We miss you terribly and will continue to miss you each and every day that passes. But I am comforted knowing you are up above watching down over us with friends and family that have passed before you. I am sad knowing that Carter will not remember you but, I am happy that you got a chance to meet her and see all of her “firsts”. she will know you from all the stories and memories that we will share with her. Ms Jean I will miss seeing all your beautiful post. Knowing you for 66 years has been a pleasure. I know you are hanging out with momma and loving your eternal life. The one thing I will remember is how fast you used to drive to Hammond (Robert) in that cool thunderbird. Lol. Whomever met you for just 10 minutes will love and miss you forever. To say you will be missed is an understatement. It makes me so sad to know that you won’t be around to see my grandchildren, your great grand children, grow up. Going to your house and eating from that candy jar was a favorite of Scouts.
You left such an amazing legacy. You raised children and grandchildren who are productive members of society and even got yourself a preacher after requesting one for years. What’s ironic is he is the one that you named yourself. God has such a sense of humor.
I’ve been married to your son for 34 years and he has so many wonderful qualities that he learned from you. He’s loyal and committed and a very hard worker, all traits that he learned from his mama. You were the best Mother any child could have asked for. I will never forget the life lessons you shared with me. I wish we had more time but, I know you stayed with us as long as you could. I feel honored and blessed to have called you my Mother. I will forever cherish the times we had. You were a good Christian and I have no doubt you are in heaven watching over us. Do not worry about your "little chickens" as you liked to call us. You did a wonderful job loving us, raising us, educating us and teaching us. My children are grateful for all the time you spent with them. You never missed any event. You will forever be loved and missed more than I can express. Rest and be pain free now Momma.
