Avery Mooney was an amazing grandpa to me and made me cheerful even though I was sad. I remember when I was a baby he gave me a piece of a donut from Krisby cremes in Gulfport. But I will always remember him and keep thanking him when I'm feeling down or when I feel lonely.

I just found out that my long time friend, "Avery Mooney", recently passed away. Sincere condolences to all his family and especially Russell during this difficult time. He was a gentle soul, family oriented, hardworking, honest and dependable.

Avery will be missed by all of us who knew him. For over 25 years, I could count on a telephone call from him reminding me that my American Legion Dues were due. And for 25 years, I was an early bird just because of Avery. He was a very fine person who left positive memories for all who knew him. My thoughts and prayers are with the family during this difficult time.

Uncle Buck, I'll always love & miss you. You were a wonderful Uncle & friend. I also loved Aunt Eieleen and the family that you created together. I'm sure that you know that Aunt Mae has always been special to me & that I love her.
It's been very difficult at times to live so far away from you and our family, but my husband Marc's job brought him to West Virginia. As I'm sure you know, the last time that we were able to see you was when my Mom passed away. However, I will never forget how considerate you were to both take & to return my phone calls so that we could have several meaningful conversations that helped me to feel loved & included as af full member of our family, despite the nearly 1,000 mile distance to WV. Marc also told me how much he appreciated you reaching out to him at Mom's visitation & funeral to have meaningful conversations. Marc always said for several years that you were a very intelligent, kind, & dignified man. I've also reminded our first child Matthew that he was named after you and Grand Paw Mooney.
Please remember that I will always love & remember you!
