I want to offer my sincere condolences for the loss of your love one . When I first read this and saw his picture; I went straight to my husband and said look at this, this is Mr. Bill every time you see him. He was always so sweet and up beat. I got used to hearing Michelle my Bell, upon his entrance. At work I winded being transferred from my position to another. When that happened he would walk down the hall to check on me; see if I was okay. I truly needed it at the times and was blessed to say he was a friend. I hope God wraps his loving arms around you and the happy memories give you comfort. It was truly a honor to have known him. I am sending love and prayer to all of his family and friends

This is a tribule I posted on my facebook page about Billy:

I learned a couple of days ago of the death of an old friend Billy Kentzel of Covington. Billy and I were not close friends but I visited his printing business on a few occasions to conduct some business transcations for my newspaper. At other times Billy and I met for coffee and toast at the old Courthouse Cafe next door to the St. Tammany Farmer. Other times we had a couple of beers at The Boston Pub on Boston Street. Billy was always amiable and i like him a lot. I will miss Billy, but not nearly as much as his family and close friends. RIP Billy, you represented the best of us.

Mr. Bill was a true gentleman...a rare human being with a soft heart, a genuine kindness, and an enthusiasm for life. I feel very thankful that I had the opportunity to get to know him, and I know his departure has left an emptiness in many hearts. I am so deeply saddened to hear of Mr Bill's passing. When I first started making prints, I went into Kentzels to talk to him-- I was so nervous, but I was instantly put at ease by his kindness. He was a wonderful, warm presence, and I loved going in to pick up my prints if only to exchange some words with him. I remember him always at his desk at Kentzel's, with his glasses on the end of his nose, going over invoices-- but no matter how busy he was he always had time to have a conversation. May his memory be a blessing.
