Amos was my friend, A very good man, He will be missed by all that knew him.
Mr. Cowart is a great loss to his family and friends, but also to the educational family. Amos was an outstanding teacher, one of the best, our faculty and students all loved him. He also coached our first high school golf team. I'm disappointed that I was unable to contact him for the reunion of the original faculty of South Lafourche High School, opened in 1966. Our reunion was a couople of years ago. May he rest in peace, GOD bless Amos.Easton Pitre, Ass't Prin 1966-1977.
He was a fantastic teacher. Lot of good memories of him. He always came to our class reunions at Anacoco High School.
