William Michael "Mike" Bridges

February 13, 1940 - January 14, 2022

William Michael “Mike” Bridges, Jr. passed away on Friday, January 14, 2022, surrounded by his loving family, in New Orleans, Louisiana. He was born on February 13, 1940 in Americas, Georgia to the late William Michael Bridges, Sr. and Launa Collins Bridges. Mike was the loving and devoted husband of Beverly Courtney Bridges, and the loving father to Tanya Michele Bridges (Clay), William Michael Bridges, III (Tracey), Wanda Bridges Capdeville (Eric) and Kenneth Wayne Bridges (Brittney). He was a loving grandfather to Victoria Capdeville Hartzog (Kemp), William Michael Bridges, IV (Ally), Megan Elizabeth Bridges, Joshua Reid Bridges, Gavin Wayne Bridges, Clayton Randall Bennett and Houston Michael Wilson. He was the loving great grandfather to Levi Kemp Hartzog. He was preceded in death by his brother, Hoyt L. Bridges and his sister, Norma Jean Bridges. He was a proud member of the Masons since March of 1968. He held dual memberships at Linnwood Lodge, formerly Theodore Roosevelt Lodge, and Covington Lodge #188. He was also a proud member of the Northlake Shrine Club. He was a retired member of the Plumbers & Steamfitters Local #60. Family and friends are invited to the Funeral Service at E.J. Fielding Funeral Home, 2260 W. 21st Avenue, Covington, Louisiana 70433 on Saturday, January 22, 2022 visitation beginning at 9:00 AM with services following at 11:00 AM.
