Sharon Jenkins Hickman

Sharon Jenkins Hickman passed away on Sunday, April 3, 2022 at the age of 72. She was born on May 25, 1949 in Bogalusa, LA to Shelby Jenkins and Pearlie Jenkins. Sharon is survived by her loving children, Andy Hickman (Bridget), Ronnie Hickman (Jan), Joedy Hickman (Melissa) and one special daughter-in-law, Christine Hickman. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, her sister, Sylvia Jackson (Mike) and numerous nieces and nephews. Sharon is preceded in death by her parents and her husband of 32 years, Joseph Nate Hickman. Sharon was born in Bogalusa and lifelong resident of Covington. She and Nate were the proud owners of Hickman’s Food Mart. Sharon was family oriented, loving, kind, humble, caring, and loyal. She especially cherished spending time with her loving family. Sharon was unique, well respected and liked, and will be deeply and dearly missed by all who knew and loved her. The family would like to thank the staff of Heritage Manor of Mandeville for all of the care and support shown to Sharon during her stay with them. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral services at E.J. Fielding Funeral Home, 2260 W. 21st Avenue, Covington, LA 70433 on Wednesday, April 6, 2022 at 11:00 AM with visitation beginning at 9:30 AM until service time. Interment will follow in Shelby Cemetery, 18176 Shelby Road, Covington, LA 70435. Pallbearers will be Ryan Hickman, Shelby Hickman, Rhett Hickman, Eddie Hartson, Gerald Jenkins and Harold Jenkins.
