I spent a week with Ryan on a cruise this past year. My first time meeting him ever. He was a health nut too so we clicked on the cruse. when i said a prayer on our last day for safe travels , he was the only one that did not make fun of me for my faith in god and my prayer. I found out this summer of his passing and it saddens me that its taken me so long to speak on his kind soul. he made a special impact on my life at that moment in time , cause i was going through some tough shit. His positive words were comforting to me,the pic I have of him on this cruise are fabulous. Those Parrots loved him!

Sweet Ryan Porche❤️
I hired him right away when I managed the rehab dept at Lower Keys Medical Center. He & his then-wife sold their home in Baton Rouge and moved to Key West. They hosted the best low country boils & Saints game-watching parties at their home on Julia St, fleur de lis everywhere!
He worked in Hawaii after leaving Key West, and I admired his starting over in such a unique way.
A true southern gentleman! Marine Corps veteran, family man, LSU grad, man of faith.
He always had a smile on his face. If you came to NOLA he was the guy - here we are at jazz brunch at Commander's Palace during Jazz Fest 2011, him giving Hannah a bottle on a visit to Fort Lauderdale in Sept 2016.
Ryan was such a special man. My heart is so sad but I know I will see him again one day.
How lucky we were to have him!

in honor of Ryan.

I remember when Ryan gave his testimony about his Haiti trip in 2016. It was such an inspiration to hear! I remember finding a way to meet him to let him know how much of an inspiration he was by giving his testimony. He touched many lives while he was there, serving our Lord.

Now Ryan, you will now have eternity to serve our Lord. For I know you are with Him, and He will keep you busy in Heaven to assist with preparing the Porche mansion there. Although you served Him well here on Earth, He must need you for more important work there with HIm. You are Home Ryan;your chains are broken, you are Free! I look forward to meeting with you again to dance on those wonderful shores of Amazing Grace! May God continue to rest and bless you! Until we meet again, I will keep interceding for you as your sister in Christ.
