Robert Joel Allison Sr.

Robert Joel Allison, Sr., age 82, passed away peacefully on Friday, June 17, 2022 at his home in Covington, LA. He was born July 1, 1939 in Bogalusa, LA to Cedric Walter Allison and Lois May Allison. He is survived by his beloved wife of 61 years, Joan Bush Allison; his daughter, Joell Allison Graffagnino and her husband Patrick, and his son, Joel Allison and his wife Robin. He is also survived by three grandchildren, Peter Graffagnino, Taylor Allison and his wife Haley, and Lauren Allison; three great-grandchildren, Mckenna Allison, Lucas Graffagnino, and Luke Allison; as well as nieces and nephews. Joel is preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Dorothy Allison Hopkins and husband Lee “C.C.” Hopkins and Nelda Allison Miley and husband Elbert Miley. After graduating from Bogalusa High School, Joel was employed by Crown Zellerbach for 5 years before moving to Covington to begin working for CLECO, where he retired after 36 years of service. Throughout his life, his greatest priority was to provide for and take care of his family. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Services at E.J. Fielding Funeral Home, 2260 W. 21st Avenue, Covington, LA 70433 on Saturday, June 25, 2022 at 1:00 PM, with visitation on Saturday beginning at 11:00 AM. Interment at Pinecrest Memorial Gardens in Covington, LA will follow services. E. J. Fielding Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
