Marie Edith Fielding Welch Greenwood of Covington, LA passed away at the age of 90 on Monday, June 20, 2022 in St. Francisville, LA surrounded by her family. She was born on November 22, 1931 in New Orleans, LA to Edward Joseph Fielding, Sr. and Henrietta Edith Fielding. Edith, affectionately known as EDBee, is survived by her daughters, Marie Welch Spohrer (Mark) and Charlene Welch Rainwater (Mark); her son, Charles Carter Welch, Jr.; her brother, Richard S. Fielding, Sr.; and sister-friend, Nancy Frisby (Ray). She is also survived by her grandchildren, Michelle Kleb (Alan), Joseph Spohrer (Jessica), Matthew Spohrer (Ruby), Jason Rainwater (Jennifer), Melissa Weeg (Jarrod), Jamie Williams (Bryan), Lamar Frisby (Chelsea), Samuel Frisby (Courtney) and Jane Hare (Justin); and 16 great grandchildren. EDBee is preceded in death by her parents; her 1st husband, Charles C. Welch, Sr.; her 2nd Husband, Donald Greenwood; brothers, E.J. Fielding, Jr., John J. Fielding, Sr., and Philip E. Fielding, Sr. Relatives and friends are invited to the Funeral Service at E.J. Fielding Funeral Home, 2260 W. 21st Avenue, Covington, LA 70433 on Thursday, June 23, 2022 at 11:15 AM with visitation from 9:00 AM until service time. Interment will follow the service at Pinecrest Memorial Gardens, Covington, LA.
