John David Crawford

John David Crawford, age 76 of Covington, entered eternal rest on Wednesday afternoon, February 16, 2022, at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Tampa, Florida on Tuesday, December 11, 1945 to the late Charles Louis Crawford, Sr. and Mildred Avegno Crawford. John is survived by his beloved wife, Yvonne Garcia Crawford, of 56 years. He was the loving father to Kimberly Crawford Baggett (Paul) and David Ashley Crawford (Lisa). John was the proud grandfather of Benjamin, Elizabeth, John, Taylor Baggett, and Amanda Mariam Crawford. John was the brother of Kate Dinwiddie, Elizabeth Crawford, and the late Charles Crawford, Jr. A native of Tampa, Florida and a resident of Covington for over 6 years, John graduated from Alcee Fortier High School. After high school, he attended and graduated with a bachelor’s degree from Loyola University. John worked in the Oil and Gas industry as a Landsman for many years. John was caring and kind person, with a unique sense of humor, who was devoted to his family. He enjoyed spending time fishing, gardening, and anything to do with the outdoors. He also enjoyed woodworking. However, his true passion was spending time with his loving family, especially his grandchildren. John was unique, well respected and liked, and will be deeply and dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
