Charles Maurice Mooney Sr. passed away in his home in Covington on September 27, 2021. Charles was a loving father and Paw Paw. He is survived by his children, Linda F. Hill (Chris), Crystal G. Danos (Chase), Charles M. Mooney Jr. (Livi), and Jon M. Mooney; his five grandchildren, Brittany Nicole Devereux (James), Christopher James Hill (Angelica), Makayla Colleen Hill (Dennis), Brian Allen Hill, and Logan Edward Hill; his six great-grandchildren Adeline Michelle Devereux, Allison Grace Devereux, Zachary James Devereux, Eleanor Clemence Devereux, Dennis Alvin Scott III, and Drew Thomas Scott; and his 7 brothers and sisters. He was preceded in death by his parents Jerry Lee Mooney and Wilmer Roy Mooney, his son Christopher Allen Mooney, and his brother Jerry Wayne Mooney. Charles was a loyal employee at Dependable Glass for many years. He loved his kids, his grandkids, but especially his great-grandbabies with all his heart. Charles would help anyone in need and loved with his whole heart. He would give the clothes off his back to anyone who needed it. He loved his guns and his long bed metal truck. He was always trying to make America great again in his own way. Due to COVID-19, social distancing is encouraged and masks are required to attend services. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Service at E.J. Fielding Funeral Home, 2260 W. 21st Avenue Covington, LA 70433 on Monday, October 4, 2021 at 11:00 AM with visitation on Monday beginning at 9:00 AM until service time.
