Beverly Ann Stein

September 8, 1936 - January 2, 2021

Beverly Ann Stein passed away on Saturday, January 2, 2021 in Madisonville, LA. She was born on September 8, 1936 to the late Malcolm T. Stein, Sr. and Stella Policar Stein. She is preceded in death by her sister, Connie Stein Davis, brother, Malcolm T. Stein, Jr., and sister-in-law, Neva Chustz Stein. Family was of the utmost importance to Beverly. She was always willing to give assistance when and however needed. She was the ultimate “caregiver” for the family. Beverly is survived by her loving caregivers, niece, Donna Stein Lee (Elmer) and nephew, Malcolm T. Stein, III (Jodi); great-nephews Michael Lee, Sr (Dana), Chad Lee (Meagan), the late Shawn Lee (LouAnn), Malcolm T. Stein, IV (Leeza), Justin P. Stein and great-niece, Alexandra L. Stein. Also, great great-nephews, Michael Lee, Jr., Shawn Lee, Jr., great great-nieces Amber Lee, Karla Lee, Kaitlyn Lee, and Piper Lee. Upon her retirement in 1984, after 30 years with Southeast Louisiana Hospital where she served as Administrative Assistant to the Chief of Staff, Beverly enjoyed traveling the United States with her camping “family.” She visited many of our National Parks and particularly enjoyed the Great Smokey Mountains. Bev enjoyed arts and crafts, puzzles and league bowling. With the introduction of casinos in Louisiana and Mississippi, Bev found a new hobby. She loved going to the coast and somehow always seemed to “break even.” The family would like to thank Passages Hospice for their care and assistance with Beverly. A special “shout out” to Melissa, as she was especially helpful in ensuring Bev’s final hours were comfortable. Family and Friends are invited to celebrate Beverly’s life, Friday, January 8, 2021 at St. Anselm Catholic Church, 306 St. Mary St., Madisonville, LA 70447. Visitation will be from 10am – 12pm, followed by a celebratory Mass. Interment will be at Theodore Dendinger Cemetery for immediate family only.
