I am saddened to learn of Mrs. Valine's passing; her death marks the end of an era! My grandparents, John Thomas and Lizzie Ware Dendy, always spoke VERRRRRY highly of "Cousin Valine," and I remember her siblings, as well, as being really outstanding people.
