Dear Family, Sorry, I cannot be at the service. Shirley was one of the sweetest friend I have ever known.. I met her at Mercy Academy. Knew her while she was in New Orleans raising her children. Visited her in Pass Christian when invited to lunch. Will always be in my prayers. Marcia Ryniker Baird
Shirley was one of the most colorful people I know- from her beautiful dresses and jewelry,to her personality! I have many fond memories of afternoons spent together shopping and going out to eat. Shirley never met a stranger while we were out and about and enjoyed talking to anyone, anywhere about anything. When she was able she joined in a weekly gathering for bible study and always delighted in learning something new. She also enjoyed just having the bible read to her at times. She often spoke of her love for her family and that is what I will remember most about Shirley.
I am sorry for your loss, may the love, grace and hope of God give you comfort.
