Patricia “Pat” Phillips Brister passed away peacefully on Monday, February 3, 2020 in Covington, LA. She was born on December 6, 1946 in LaGrange, GA to the late Brown Phillips and Thelma Christopher Phillips. Pat was married to Read Obituary
I had the privilege to get to know Pat Brister in the early stages of the Safe Haven project. She was clearly one of the most impressive people I have ever had the opportunity to know. She exuded confidence and grace. You knew when Pat said she was going to tackle a project, she would get it done. Problems were viewed as challenges, not obstacles. She will never be forgotten for the impact she had on my life. My condolences go out to her family and coworkers.

I had the opportunity to work with Ms. Pat and her husband Joe Brister twice,back in the 80's ,I believe, at their A/C company ,Brister -Stephens Inc.I am sure nobody would remember me,but,the couple times that I,a simple low wage helper,met her,a fairly well off,I believe,owner of a company conversed with me,did not look down on me,did not talk down to me.It's funny,and it was such a long time ago,but I still remember that.She was so gracious,lovely person.And this was a LONG time before she was elected.This is the best tribute to her,how she she treated the little people.Sincerely,John P Walton,Jr
