Mitzi was a wonderful friend to my mother, and then to me and my family. We will miss her vivacious personality, wonderful sense of humor, her entertaining stories, and most of all her love.
I'm so grateful to her for being a surrogate grandmother to my grandmotherless boys after my mother's death. They will miss her, too. Summers won't be the same without her visits to look forward to. I think this past summers visit was her favorite, and I'm glad for that...
I hope she and Mama enjoy many bloody marys, fried oysters, and good conversations together from here on out, and that they will both haunt us from time to time.
