Uncle LP was one of the sweetest and most easy going people I have ever known. I remember growing up trick-or-treating in Madisonville and we always had to stop by his place by the ballpark to say hey. I never saw Uncle LP without a smile on his face, no matter what life threw his way. Hurricanes and Tropical Storms would hit Madisonville, his house would flood, and shortly after he'd be outside cleaning up, getting ready to fix everything again. When he moved to the apartments by Target he would always come up to the house and tinker outside with dad. He had to be doing something and the two of them would laugh and talk and stay outside working on whatever project they had for the day. I always said I wanted to be like him. He was one of the most happy-go-lucky people and always had such a youthful spirit. He constantly worked to serve his town, was known and loved by everyone, and lived each day to the fullest. I am so bless Sweet Man. You were and will forever be loved by those who have had the honor of knowing you.
