Gerardo “Jerry” Perez Jr. passed away peacefully after a short illness on Sunday, December 12, 2021 in Covington, LA at the age of 67. Jerry was born in Mayaguez, Puerto Rico on July 7, 1954 to Gerardo Perez Sr. and Maria Eugenia Read Obituary
Jerry was my roommate in the Philippines. I was the token Marine lawyer serving with 35 Navy lawyers. We nicknamed Jerry "Captain Video" because he loved to watch movies. Jerry was one of the nicest guys I met. We worked hard, but always found time to help someone who needed it. We kept in touch as much as you can when you both have families to raise. He will be missed.

Rest in peace Uncle Jerry. I remember he was always a great uncle to me and his big stack of comic books inspired my love for comic books later in life. Thank you for all you did for my family Uncle Jerry, you will be missed.
Jerry was the love of my sister Lenda’s life. A good man, he was a wonderful, thoughtful husband. I’ll always believe that he died of a broken heart as the lights in his life seemed to dim and never recover after Lenda’s diagnosis. Rest In Peace my brother in law.
