We only learned of Nikki's passing a few days ago and were both shocked and saddened by the news. He had been a good friend of ours since we met when John and he were at Tulane Law School. We spent many wonderful evenings at his apartment in the French Quarter listening to him playing the dulcimer. We also had wonderful days at his home in Covington where he even hosted a bachelor party before our wedding in which he was a groomsman. We always stayed in touch even though we only saw each other at reunions and other events in New Orleans or Covington. We will miss him. Our very deepest sympathy to his family. John & Louise Simon
