This picture really is Fred. We loved having him as part of The Monday Night Disciples. He loved singing and reading us a verse. I remember him sharing "this is my Son listen to Him." He had a great heart for the Lord. I always enjoyed pointing at him when we shared peace(at mass) and he would point right back. He loved sharing his Korean war story about calling in fire on a North Korean ammo depot. No doubt those commies wouldn't be shooting up Sunday mass anytime soon. Fred was a patriot and a Christian Gentleman. I will miss him greatly. Thank you Fred for a life well lived. God Bless You.

Our condolences to the Family of Fred Schott. We will be in Virginia the day of his funeral. Fred will always be remembered for his love of the Blessed Sacrament and his desire to give his all to Jesus through prayer, singing and praise through God's creation. He would not sit in the pew until he had spent a moment adoring Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament. Because he had hearing problems, he was grateful to get the hymn numbers written down before Mass so he could participate in the Liturgy. He never left until the final hymn was concluded. He was a great example to all of us who knew him. May Jesus reward his faithfulness and keep us ever mindful that age and infirmity are stepping stones into a glorious eternity. Love ya, Fred!
