I attended Pineview Middle School from 1970-1973 when it was a girls only school. Mr. Owens had his hands full but in his mild mannered approach he was a great principal. I flourished more at his school then any other I would attend. My thoughts and prayers are with the family. Just wanted you to know he left a positive impression on my life and I will always be grateful.

Dear Owens Family, I "Thank God" for the Math teaching skills of Mr. Owens! It was not the quickest skill for me to master, especially Geometry, but he (and Lena Mae Royal)somehow helped me learn enough to earn a C every six weeks. He was always encouraging in a soft, no nonsense, slow speaking voice. I will remember him as one of my favorite teachers, who cared!
