During my time of working for Eddie he took us all to Bourbon Street. We had a delicious brunch & rode in a horse drawn buggy which was my first time riding in one. Ronnie, my husband, ran into him after his hip surgery during his physical therapy. He even took him for a ride in his Testa that he recently bought. I am sorry I didn't know about his passing because I surely would have been there. RIP Eddie.
Eddie was my mentor and friend. His kindness and wisdom has had a profound impact on my life and those others around him. I will always cherish the time we had together.
Eddie, I am truly sorry to hear of the passing of your dad. You are a good man, no doubt this is a quality you got from him. Thinking of you, and here for support. With sympathy, Andrew Clement
Eddie, Christine, Kris, and the Cretin family, I am so sorry to hear of the passing of Mr. Eddie.
Losing a parent can leave a hole in your heart that last a lifetime. Luckily for you all Mr. Eddie’s spirit is larger then anything and it not only has made you all into the fine people you are, but will guide you forever. With much love, support, and sympathy, Joan Clement Rodrick
Eddie was a Titan. Larger than life yet really down to Earth. He was always inspirational, kind and sharp as a razor with wit and wisdom. Eddie was at first my customer and quickly we became friends. After many years of doing business across the counter from each other, he became my boss. During my time at Cretin Homes, I received mentoring from one of the greatest builders of all time. It was a privilege to be guided and taught by Eddie. My priceless education could not be purchased at any university. I learned from the Master. He will be sorely missed by me and all who knew him. God bless you, Eddie.

Freda & The Cretin Family,
I'm terribly saddened by Eddie's passing. Like you, I'll miss him dearly. I can't say enough good things about Eddie. He was an old-school, self-made, man's man. He was fair and honest, hard-working, caring, generous and always willing to help or just talk...everything a good man should be and should strive to be. Eddie loved the outdoors and I'll always remember and cherish the times we spent together fishing and hunting, laughing and joking, freezing and sweating on a boat somewhere in the marsh. Eddie had incredible wisdom and a unique way of seeing and solving problems. He was uniquely successful and confident while also humble and grateful...never flashy, never boisterous. Truly, a good man. I'm proud to say he was my friend, and even more proud if he thought of me as his friend. I hope God will impart some of Eddie's strength to you all in your time of need. God bless you all. Eddie...I'll see you again my friend. God speed.
I am so sad to hear of the passing of Mr. Eddie. He was a wonderful man and great father. He will truly be missed. He was a great business man and built a wonderful business and touched a lot of people’s lives with his kindness and hard work. He is more appreciated than he will ever know. Sending all my love and thoughts and prayers to his family and I hope he is resting peacefully in the arms of Our Father. Amen.
