Rosanne and the entire McDow family, I am so sorry to hear Ms. Dorothy passed away. I had the opportunity to get to know her well while we both worked at Highland Park. Highland Park was my first employer after graduating from college. Ms. Dorothy shared her knowledge with me about being a materials manager, and I greatly appreciated her taking me under her wing. I always admired her work ethic. She was an extremely hard worker and would help anyone who needed help. It did not matter if you were a friend or a foe; Dorothy would always offer her help.
Ms. Dorothy would carry her Spiegel catalog into the office every morning to order her “movie star” clothes I would tell her. She could out dress anyone at the hospital. The last time I got to see Ms. Dorothy was at the Dollar General Market. She was trying to reach for a box of frozen popsicles on the top shelf of the freezer, but she could not get it. I reached for the box and gave it to her. She responded, “Well, I would have got it sooner or later.” That is a true statement. She was a doer, and she was relentless when it came to tackling an obstacle in her life. Well, Ms. Dorothy, your work is complete here on Earth. May God now welcome you into his Kingdom. Suzanne and I are praying for your family during this time of pain.
