My heart broke today finding out the news of Docs passing. I was a 30 year patient of the greatest eye dr on the planet. He reminded me so much of Ronald Reagan. I had the upmost trust in this man. A quick funny story. I bought him a framed picture of Secretariat winning the triple crown as appreciation. I remember the day I gave Doc. He opened the box on the way out of my exam room, looked at it and then turned to me and said “See you in 3 months “. I came back in three months and asked Susan at the front of the office if he said anything about the gift I had given him. Susan said no. As we were wrapping up this new appointment that day, he was walking out the exam room and stopped. He turned to me and said “I hung that picture you gave me up in my hallway at the house “. Guess he liked it LOL. Love this man. Thank you for all you did for me. Al Fadaol

My husband battled an eye condition for 9 years. After countless doctors and treatments he was referred to Dr. Caldwell. Dr. Caldwell looked at his eye and immediately said, you have skin cancer. He successfully removed it and his vision was totally restored. He now has better vision in that eye than the other eye. We thank god everyday for blessing us with Dr. Caldwell and his knowledge. He will be deeply missed.

We were so blessed to have had him in our life, he was an earth angel our earth angel . Him and God saved my grandson’s eye. He was the best of the best. Our tears run with yours our hearts hurt with you and we rejoice knowing he’s in heaven. Rest in peace our earth angel now a heavenly angel

I can't describe what I feel about Dr. Caldwell. I worked with him at Tulane for 30 years. He was like a father in many ways. So much advice and help. Both Jo Ann and him have always been there for me
were also there for He was quite a surgeon. Proud of the time I worked with him. RIP Dr.C. I will miss you.
